E tu, sai come si visita un bosco?

Alcuni consigli per chi viene in visita…

 

  1. Non abbandonare rifiuti

Non lasciare tracce del tuo passaggio. Porta sempre con te un sacchetto per riportare a casa i rifiuti che hai prodotto e, perché no, raccogliere quelli che trovi abbandonati lungo il percorso.

 

  1. Segui i percorsi esistenti

In questo modo eviterai di calpestare inutilmente la vegetazione e di disturbare la fauna presente.

 

  1. In compagnia del tuo cane, ma con le dovute attenzioni

Se non puoi rinunciare alla compagnia del tuo amico a quattro zampe, vigila sui suoi comportamenti e fai in modo che rimanga sempre in contatto visivo. La normativa regionale (LR 20/12) non impone l’obbligo del guinzaglio ma ritiene responsabile il proprietario per danni a persone o ad altri animali.

 

  1. Non raccogliere e rovinare fiori, piante ed alberi

Molte specie sono tutelate da direttive europee e leggi nazionali, e vanno pertanto rispettate. Nel DPRG 074/09 la Regione FVG, nel rispetto delle tradizioni e degli usi e costumi locali, ha elencato le specie raccoglibili e i rispettivi quantitativi giornalieri.

 

  1. Non disturbare gli animali

Porta sempre con te un binocolo. Non avvicinare o disturbare gli animali selvatici, non spaventarli con urla o rumori ed evita di creare situazioni di pericolo per te e per loro. Rispetta anche la fauna minore (anfibi, rettili, …), considerata fauna di interesse regionale per il FVG e quindi soggetta a tutela e relative sanzioni per chi la cattura o ferisce.

 

  1. Non improvvisarti esperto di funghi

Raccogli i funghi solo se hai il permesso e nel rispetto della normativa vigente (LR 25/17).

 

  1. Attenti a scherzare con il fuoco

Non accendere fuochi, se non dove è permesso, e non utilizzare fiamme libere o gettare mozziconi di sigaretta a terra. Se avvisti un principio di incendio, allontanati e chiama il 112.

 

  1. Sempre vestiti in modo adeguato

Controlla le previsioni meteo prima di affrontare un’escursione o una semplice passeggiata e ricordati sempre di indossare abbigliamento e calzature adeguate.

 

  1. Zecche, no grazie

Adotta misure adeguate per evitare i morsi da zecca (indumenti chiari, che coprono il corpo, utilizzo di repellenti cutanei, …). Al rientro dalla tua escursione fai un controllo accurato su di te e sugli indumenti che indossavi. Se sei stato morsicato, procedi con la rimozione della zecca nel più breve tempo possibile e tieni monitorata la zona interessata nelle settimane successive.

 

….. ricordati che quando entri nel bosco TU sei l’ospite, non il padrone di casa….

Do YOU know the dos and don’ts of visiting the woods?

Here’s some advice:

 

  1. Do not leave any litter behind

Do not leave any trace of your passage. Always carry a bag with you to take home the waste you’ve produced and – why not? – to collect any that you can find along the way.

 

  1. Follow existing routes

You will avoid unnecessarily trampling all over the vegetation and disturbing the local fauna.

 

  1. Take your dog with you, but be careful

You are welcome to take your dog with you, but be watchful of its behaviour and do not let it out of your sight
f you cannot bear to go without your four-legged friend, keep an eye on its demeanour and make sure it always stays in your sight. While regional legislation (LR 20/12) doesn’t require your dog to wear a leash, you as a dog owner will be held responsible in case of damage to people or to other animals.

 

  1. Don’t pick and damage any flowers, plants or trees

Many species are protected under European directives and national laws, and therefore must be respected. In the DPRG 074/09, the FVG Region lists which species can be collected and their respective daily amounts, in accordance with local customs and traditions.

 

  1.  Do not disturb the animals

Always carry binoculars with you. Don’t approach or disturb wild animals, don’t scare them by shouting or making loud noises and avoid creating situations that can put you or them in any danger. Be mindful of minor fauna (such as amphibians and reptiles) as well, as it’s considered by FVG to be of regional interest and therefore subject to protection and related sanctions against whoever might capture or injure any of it.

 

  1. Do not play the mushroom expert

Only pick mushrooms if you have a permit, in compliance with current legislation (LR 25/17).

 

  1. Do not play with fire

Do not light fires except where permitted, and don’t use open flames or throw cigarette butts on the ground. If you see a fire breaking out, get away and call 112.

 

  1. Always dress appropriately

Check the weather forecast before setting out for an excursion or even a leisurely stroll and always remember to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

 

  1. Ticks? No, thanks

Take adequate measures to avoid tick bites, such as wearing light-coloured, well-covering clothing and using skin repellents. Once you have returned from your excursion, do a thorough check on yourself and the clothes you were wearing. If you find you’ve been bitten, remove the tick as soon as possible and keep an eye on the affected area for the following weeks.

And whenever you are entering the woods, remember: you are a houseguest, not a host.
